Edison Child Development Center Gets New Playground
On Saturday, April 6, 2013, there was a collaborative effort by Green Long Beach!, KaBOOM!, Zynga.org, Rebuilding Together Long Beach, the Neighborhood Services Bureau, LBUSD, and the teachers and parents of Edison Child Development Center to build a playground for the kids. TALB Members and Family at the 2013 Martin Luther King Jr. Parade
Teachers For the Arts - was a collaborative event that TALB organized in partnership with the Catalyst Network of Communities and co-sponsored by the Petrolane Boys & Girls Club. On March 25th, 2011, teachers, nurses, and librarians supported the children and youth at Martin Luther King Jr. Park as local artists and arts organizations facilitated interactive art stations ranging from dance, theatre, yoga, guitar box making, rain stick making, paint canvas making, and other arts & crafts.
