A Day in the Life of a Teacher, Nurse, or Librarian . . .
This is a TALB video project that features members speaking directly to the public and sharing with viewers what it is like to be an educator. The goal is to raise appreciation for the education profession.

Are you a TALB member and want to share your story?
Contact Michelle Shipp at mshipp@talb.org. We want to show the diversity of educator stories:
Each grade level and what it’s like to prepare your classroom before school starts, to prepare for back to school night or open house, to prepare your lesson plans. How many hours does it take? Is this your own free time? Do you spend your own money purchasing school supplies? How much?
Various educator positions and what it’s like to be a speech pathologist, librarian, nurse, special ed, coach, music teacher, etc. What’s your typical day like?
Interesting and moving stories – a memorable story of how a student was positively impacted in your classroom. A funny story of something that happened in the classroom. No names, of course.
What are some challenges that you endure as an educator? Paint a picture of the kind of emotional and physical energy it takes to be an educator.
Why did you choose to become an educator? What do you enjoy about it?
What are some extra-curricular activities that you are involved with? Are you a club advisor? Do you help with prom or major school events?
Share some words of wisdom with the community. You are a teacher. You can teach and inspire people too!
What do you need to be equipped to do your job well?
