March for Science - Long Beach

We are people who value science: scientists, educators, journalists, students, neighbors, friends, and family. We come from all races, all religions, all gender identities, all sexual orientations, all abilities, all socioeconomic backgrounds, all political perspectives, and all nationalities. Our diversity is our greatest strength: a wealth of opinions, perspectives, and ideas is critical for the scientific process. What unites us is a love of science, and an insatiable curiosity. We all recognize that science is everywhere and affects everyone.

TALB is joining with the community on April 22 to march for science. The march begins at East San Antonio Drive and Atlantic Avenue, then concludes at the Green Prize Festival in Houghton Park. Meet at the TALB parking lot and get your free bottle of water!

Martin Luther King Jr Parade - January 2017

Join us for the Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade on January 14, 2017!

Celebrate Our Rights and Heritage! Show That Teachers Care!

It's important for all teachers, nurses, librarians, and SLPs to come together and be visible in the community. Plan to walk at the annual Martin Luther King Jr. parade with your colleagues to demonstrate our support for the human and civil rights of all people. This also encourages public support for us as educators.

Shuttle service is provided by Long Beach Transit from 8:00 –10:30a.m.  Shuttles will pick up on PCH (in front of LBCC) and drop off at M.L.King, Jr. Avenue at 10th Street.  Parking will be available at the Long Beach City College parking lot (enter corner of Orange and 19th).

We’ll be meeting at 9:30AM at our parade assignment location which is Line-Up #39 at the corner of 10th Street and M.L.King Jr Avenue. Our group will also be going to lunch after the parade!

Invite your colleagues and your family!
