As we prepare for the new 2014-2015 school year, plans for our annual Rep Training and Council meeting are underway. It will take place on Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM at the Grand Long Beach Event Center, 4101 E. Willow Street, Long Beach, CA 90815. Please note the change in location compared to last year.
Every year, we usually extend an invitation to all K-12 and CDC/Head Start Reps from both the last school year and also the new school year. If you are interested in attending, we are now accepting RSVPs. Please send email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call (562) 426-6433.
We are currently working to make this training an effective one for you. The general schedule will be as follows:
8:00am - 9:00am Registration/Continental Breakfast
9:00am - 12:00pm Rep Training (K-12 and CDC/HS)
12:00pm - 1:00pm Lunch & Keynote Speaker
1:00pm - 3:00pm K-12 Rep Council meeting
The K-12 Rep Council agenda will only be sent out to newly elected K-12 Reps for the 2014-15 school year prior to the meeting. If documentation for your school site’s Rep Election has not been submitted, please have them turned in to the TALB office. Remember, only those K-12 Reps who have been elected for the 2014-2015 school year and who are validated with the submission of the Election Report Form can vote during the business meeting in the afternoon.
