Teachers Association of Long Beach - Jordan Area Elementary

Our association has made rapid changes over the last four years. These changes have allowed us to improve teachers' salaries and maintain benefits.

 

We now have a voice on the school board and this voice has made a difference. But the struggle is not over. We still need a truly teacher/student friendly school board, and that change will come next year.

 

With that change will come a new contract that will require the district to trat us as professionals and allow us to have a say in how we do our jobs.

  • The most important things for a rep is to both communicate and represent our members

What is the most important thing a site administrative staff should do?

  • The most important thing for any administrator is to support his/her faculty
