Teachers Association of Long Beach - Lakewood Area Elementary
Our TALB members should get the message out to parents and the community that we are doing a great job here in Long Beach, but we need to be better compensated, shown more respect by students, parents, the Board of Education, and administrators should all work together to make sure that ALL children are receiving the best public education.

What is one change you would like to see in LBUSD?
- I would like to see teachers given the opportunity to help make more decisions that affect their classrooms and the students they teach. That includes money, books, supplies, etc...
What is your favorite restaurant in Long Beach?
What is the most important thing a TALB rep should do?
- A TALB rep should be an informed communicator who sees that each member is receiving information so that member is as informed as well
What is the most important thing a site administrative staff should do?
- A staff administrator should be an equal partner with each of their staff in making decisions at their site, see that the teacher has anything he/she deems necessary to teach, and they should always support their teachers especially with student discipline.
