Join School Nurses in Raising Funds to End Diabetes

School Nurses play a unique role in empowering students with type 1 diabetes (T1D) to live full, healthy lives by allowing them to access a great education and the freedom to grow and pursue their dreams. LBUSD School Nurses are motivated to help these students in any way possible.

The Long Beach School Nurse Association (LBSNA) is happy to announce that we are creating a team of LBUSD School Nurses, staff and supporters who will be walking on Sunday June 4th at the JDRF One Walk®. Our goal is to help the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation create a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D) for the approximately 140 students in Long Beach Unified School District and millions of other children and adults living with this disease.

Our team goal is to raise $3000. To reach this goal, we are asking for a $20 donation OR any amount you can give. If we raise $20 for each student in LBUSD living with T1D, we will reach our goal and have a booth at the event to highlight the unique relationship between School Nurses and families living with T1D.

By donating or joining our JDRF One Walk® team today, you’ll help fund research to improve the lives of everyone challenged by T1D. With your support, JDRF will turn Type One into Type None.
